TROOP 970
Several Troop 970 scout families participate in
the annual summer clean-up of the Potomac
River picking up hundreds of  tires, and 1.8 tons
of trash along with plastic & metal to be recycled.
Community service hours were earned.
Sponsored by Sterling United Methodist Church in Sterling, Virginia
Keep Loudoun Beautiful Canoe Clean-Up
Potomac River - Annually in August
970 Maine High Adventure crew #2
builds a Chimney Swift Tower for Rust
Nature Sanctuary in Leesburg. This
service project completes the
requirements for their "50 Miler" Award.
Troop 970 visits Monroe Retirement
Village along with the VFW.
