TROOP 970 TAKES TOP HONORS AT GOOSE CREEK DISTRICT FREEZE-O-REE
At the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship, two Troop 970 Scout
Patrols won four of the six top awards presented at the annual Goose Creek District
Freez O Ree annual county-wide winter camping event and Scouting skills
competition.
The Monkees Patrol earned First Place in the the “Top Patrol” overall competition
and earned another First Place in the “Annual Goose Creek Chili Cookoff”.
The Totem Poles Patrol earned Second Place in “Top Patrol” and Third Place in
the Chili Cookoff. Congratulations to the dedication, spirit, and skills of these
Troop 970 Patrols!
The annual Freeze O Ree is one of the Troop’s favorite outdoor activities
each year, demonstrating their commitment to year round camping.
