TROOP 970 HOLDS FUN OVERNIGHT
SPORT ROCK “CLIMBING LOCK-IN”
Over 30 Scouts and adults held their
version of an “all nighter” at Sterling’s
Sport Rock with an overnight climb and
lock in 8-9 March. From new
crossover Scouts to the most
experienced senior Scouts in the
troop, everyone had a relaxed time of
climbing, “midnight pizza” and maybe
even a little rest. The lock-in tradition
dates from the late 1990’s when Troop
970 visited one of northern Virginia’s
first indoor climbing facilities in
Richmond VA!
